GW parkway...

..the best drive in DC !!

so many days I have spent commuting or even just driving along this road. and oh yeah, I also ran along this one fall day when it was particularly beautiful !!

Quick description of the parkway, it passes through a wooded area and has the potomac flowing on the side. There is a grassy median in the middle and there are tons of trees lining the parkway and in the wooded area around it. On a bright sunny day the GW Parkway is spectacular.

There was this one particular day last fall when I was driving back from work. The sun was out, there was a light breeze and I was cruising along in my car listening to some nice music when I noticed the road - the trees all different shades of yellow and red. the wind was causing the leaves to fly across the road ! IT WAS MAGICAL ! Man, I felt that I was somewhere else.

The parkway was my daily commute for almost 10 months. I have to say, this drive and my music made me look forward to going to work everyday :)
