leap second..

Check this story out. Its about how at the end of this year we will have a "leap second". Hmm, more time to spend on my essays :)

A "leap second" is essentially an additional second added before the clock turns midnight onto 2006. Has been added to account for differences in the speed of rotation of the earth. Read the article for more details..

About the bhoot's

At IIT, I was a part of the Nilgiri hostel but somehow because of Bhatti (Amit Bhatnagar) ended up spending most of my time with these guys (Aravali guys)

Well, this wing was quite a wing. There were like 8 (maybe) core members but there must have been atleast 6-7 other attached members like myself. I have to say it was REALLY REALLY diverse in all senses.
- all ranges of CG's from 5,6,7,8,9 and almost 10:
- there were folks excelling in dramatics, sports, poltu - u name it we had it. We also had some folks like mota who were involved in everything :)
- jobs in this wing placed folks from Delhi to US with Dubai, france and some other places in the middlle
- undies were burnt in this wing, drunken stories were recorded, gay pics were clicked, doors were broken, god knows what all. We essentially were quite crazy

GW parkway...

..the best drive in DC !!

so many days I have spent commuting or even just driving along this road. and oh yeah, I also ran along this one fall day when it was particularly beautiful !!

Quick description of the parkway, it passes through a wooded area and has the potomac flowing on the side. There is a grassy median in the middle and there are tons of trees lining the parkway and in the wooded area around it. On a bright sunny day the GW Parkway is spectacular.

There was this one particular day last fall when I was driving back from work. The sun was out, there was a light breeze and I was cruising along in my car listening to some nice music when I noticed the road - the trees all different shades of yellow and red. the wind was causing the leaves to fly across the road ! IT WAS MAGICAL ! Man, I felt that I was somewhere else.

The parkway was my daily commute for almost 10 months. I have to say, this drive and my music made me look forward to going to work everyday :)

Took a rare break in the eve today after I got REALLY REALLY frust with my MBA apps.

Bro and I went on a short drive on GW parkway to Gravilly point. Gravilly point is essentially Washington DC's "Jumbo Point". For the non -delhites, that means the spot right before the runway (of the airport). You can stand there and the jets are screaming in to land 20-30 ft above your head. Quite a nice nice atmo, especially on a drizzly night.

After that bro and I went to Prince Cafe - one of the most awesome (pseudo) desi restaurants. Its actually lebanese but they serve the best tandoori chicken and rogan josh in town. The tandoor is a charcoal based one and not a gas grill like most of America so there is a genuine desi taste to the chicken. mmmmm luscious :)

Aight, enuf! Back to apps. Man, I really suck at writing. Have written the same essay atleast 20 times now and still no good. I need HELP !!!

writing bschool essays is one of the most frustrating things. I wrote something on Sunday which I felt really good about. But when I looked at it today, was like - this is soooooooooo weak ! Now rewriting the whole thing :(
