Gudang Garam

aaaah the cigaratte which I am sure has more than tobacco in it :)

the cigarette which has carried many a parties on its own weight

perfect accompaniment - Old Monk rum and friends

only way to smoke it --> like a chilam

People I have corrupted --> many a friends and also all my chacha's. I am now the official family supplier of the cigarrete :)

Gudang has a peculiar blend of tobacco and clove which gives it a sweet after taste and also a very strong smell. It also makes this crackling sound while burning really slowly.

Saikat, Pauda, Polo and I have spent many a exclusive friendship sutta with this...

I am not a smoker ! However, the love affair with Gudang Garam started at IIT and I still steal away once in a while (a month or so) to take a drag. Almost always in parties or with friends as this cigarette is the BEST for a 'friendship sutta' !!

Wow -long time !

Man,
its been a while since I put something up here. hmm, I guess I have been quite lazy :-D

Ok- once again lots of updates however I am going to restrict to bullet points and talk in detail about one of them - Tech-connect!

1. back in the US, still no real work in cap1 so enjoying free money. Quite nice :)
2. Lots of developments in personal life, will talk about them soon - sorry for the cryptic msg, but thats all I am putting up for now.
3. Medical Excursions is chugging along. Not really doing great guns right now - lets see what happens. There is still a lot of potential and am looking forward to do something with this.
4. Tech-connect: now this is the one i will talk more than a bullet point about...

Tech-connect is a Not for profit organization I am trying to create which connects the engineering institutions with the grass root level to create innovative technological solutions for basic problems.

A tall order I agree, but we are starting it off. The first few projects we are starting off with are
- bio diesel plant: convert used vegetable oil into diesel which can be used in any machinery. This diesel is cleaner and significantly cheaper.
- Microhydel power: use small waterfalls, streams in the mountaineous regions to create electricity

I am currently working with Meenakshi ( a friend from IIT) and the able volunteers of AID (the NGO from an earlier post). I am hoping I would be able to make this happen and am going to work hard towards it.

Thoughts anyone ?
